I live in Newcastle NSW. I’m a husband, a dad, and the kind of bloke who notices the little things more than most.
For the past ten years I’ve been a stay-at-home dad. My days have revolved around school runs, shopping centres, sporting fields, cleaning, mowing and everything in between.
A decade slightly outside the traditional career ladder gave me something unexpected. Perspective.
I started to see the small dynamics. The unspoken rules. The funny, awkward, frustrating and quietly brilliant moments that make up everyday life.
So I wrote them down.
Some I observed. Some I was part of. Some I couldn’t ignore.
Eventually, that became a book.
And as it turns out, we probably have more in common than you think.
